Take a peek at Godtube

Looking to jump in on the success of wildly popular “web 2.0″ sites like Myspace, Facebook, and Youtube, is a new Christian video sharing website called Godtube.
Owned by a company called Big Jump Media, Godtube is focused on Christian content and allows users to upload, search, watch, and comment on more than 20,000 videos - the number of which is growing at an amazing rate. With an average of 1.7 million unique visitors since it’s launch in August, Godtube’s traffic has grown 973%, placing it in the top 1,000 most visited websites on the net today.
The site itself has all the things you’d expect - quick search, channels and groups arranged by topic, user areas for upload and commenting, as well as video messaging and chat for those with webcams.
First time visitors to the homepage will notice screenclips of the most recently added videos set against a light blue background. Moving your mouse cursor over these clips allows you to “float” your way through the images. See one you like? Click on it, and the video will load right there.
Navigate further through the site, and you’ll find a large number of music videos (which may or may not be breaking copyright), as well as skits, sermons, testimonials, videos of church gatherings, etc.
There’s huge potential here for learning, ideas, and resource building. If you’re willing to pick your way through the rubbish to find the gems, Godtube could become a handy resource for youth ministry.
