This General Synod began with a powhiri in front of the Christchurch Cathedral, were several hundred people gathered to brave the cold weather. The powhiri include vibrant performances by a local kapa haka group, St Michael’s Church School, and concluded with Eucharist Service inside the Cathedral, backed by the Cathedral choir.
