Sentence
“It is like a man going on a journey, when he leaves home and puts his slaves in charge, each with his work, and commands the doorkeeper to be on the watch. Therefore, keep awake – for you do not know when the master of the house will come.”
Mark 4:34-35
Collect
E te Atua, e te Kaihanga
You provide us with the signs to follow
Like the fig tree being a sign for summer
So here the Kowhai flowering bring the Tui
And the blooming Pua (frangipani) heralds our summer
You call us to be actively ready
To be alert to the signs of our time
To know what is happening in the lives of young people
To be open to new ways of being your doorkeeper
and your witness among them.
Through Jesus our doorkeeper
Amen

The T3 Youth Executive
We are Young people and Youth leaders from the three Tikanga, elected at the Common Life Tikanga Youth Exchange. We act as the Standing Committee of Tikanga Youth Exchange. Our executive is made up of two representatives from each Tikanga, and the Tikanga Youth Facilitator. We meet twice a year for at least a weekend. Our aim is to continue to represent the views of young people to the wider church. Our prayer is that our church will recognise and celebrate our young people and all they do; that it will make the ministry among young people one of our top priorities for financial and other resources; that the church would be aware of and address the issues that affect young people; and that we all would continue to work with young people to create a church that lives out the gospel in our changing times.
